Icebreaker Consulting started by providing 1-to-1 technology consulting. This included training people who recently purchased their first computer, switching people from Windows to Mac and more. One question we’ve been getting since that time is “How does the internet work?” The answer can be very long and detailed or terse and unhelpful. Ted Stevens once described it as a “series of tubes.” While this isn’t a detailed account, it is a fascinating glimpse at an element of the web that few get to see.
